IM delegate for the EANS, Co-Chairman of the EANS Microneurosurgery Course

His areas of interest are: microsurgery, vascular neurosurgery and skull base and surgical anatomy. He has been conducting microsurgical research and microsurgery training research for more than 9 years, running more than 3 microvascular courses a year from 2012 and the Neurosurgical Masterclass in Cluj from 2013.

From 2019 he is a visiting professor of experimental microsurgery at the UMF “Iuliu Hatieganu” Cluj-Napoca. From 2017 he co-directs the basic and advanced residents’ courses in microsurgery in Cluj-Napoca , Romania and the microsurgical programme. He has published on training methods and modifications of the end-to-side technique and leads a large validation study and a psychomotor skill assessment trial.
