CLUJ MEDICAL STUDENTS’ ORGANISATION
The Cluj-Napoca Medical Student Organization (OSM Cluj-Napoca) is the representative organization for all students of the ‘Iuliu Hațieganu’ University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca (UMF Cluj-Napoca). It is also the largest student body from the University, currently consisting of more than 400 active members.
OSM Cluj-Napoca is directed an Executive Office that is comprised of members elected by the General Assembly. The General Assembly congregates twice a year, being formed by the student series’ representatives for each of the 6 years of the UMF Cluj-Napoca Faculty of Medicine, as well as the OSM project coordinators.
OSM Cluj-Napoca is an NGO that has two main activity focuses: union-related and professional. It belongs to the Romanian Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (FASMR), itself a member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations.
THE ROMANIAN STUDENTS’ SURGICAL SOCIETY CLUJ BRANCH
The Romanian Students’ Surgical Society is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, established in 2003, with the purpose of developing practical training methods for the students in the medical academic centers, through scientific events and workshops organized on various topics.
As balance of the activity of more than 10 years both from the center and from the other 9 branches in the country, SSCR has prepared about 13396 participants in the 287 workshops which amounted to more than 1400 days, dedicated to developing the practical abilities in the surgical domain and the basic medical maneuvers.
Both Basic and Advanced workshops, plus other internships and trainings specific to each branch, are organized from the participation fees, sponsorships and donations. In recent years, the Society has experienced great interest among students and young doctors, the training demand exceeding the offer. Therefore, we have raised and diversified the number of workshops and activities, from one year to the other, thus having the possibility to coach more participants, trainers, doctors of tomorrow.
The Cluj-Napoca Branch was founded in 2007 as a result of the eagerness of passionate and hard-working students. Since then the Branch is constantly growing, adding new members each year and improvement to all its projects. The Society and its members try to facilitate the accumulation of knowledge especially through practical experience. Furthermore, our Society also has a keen interest in initiating and developing common surgery research programs, bringing together students and specialists alike.

All the workshops are dedicated both to Romanian students as well as to those which are studying at the English/French section.

- The International School of Experimental Microsurgery (ISEM).
RSSS all through its branches is an organization that promotes performance and competence. Through its activities, SSCR tries to raise the educational bar for the medical community but especially in the individual study of each student, particularly the ones most eager in the field of surgery.

STUDENTS’ CLINICAL ANATOMY CLUB
The main activities of the Students’ Clinical Anatomy Club are monthly meetings with presentations on clinical anatomy, and case reports held by students, residents and senior doctors, the Weekly Quiz which is a clinical case solving challenge, the yearly Clinical Anatomy Contest and research. It addresses students passionate about anatomy who are interested in the clinical applicability of their knowledge.
